BELL TOWER IN ADMIRALTY PARK

The wooden bell tower in the Admiralty Park dates back to the end of seventeen century. The prototype of the tower is the Lighthouse of Alexandria – one of Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

ADMIRALTY CHURCH

Ulrica Pia – the Admiralty Church with a statue of Rosenbom beggar. This is the largest, built entirely of wood temple in Scandinavia. 

KARLSKRONA

Karlskrona was founded in 1680, as a base for the Swedish Royal Navy. Its military importance is still very high. The headquarters of Swedish Navy is still located here. The architects of Karlskrona adapted the town for requirements of military drill exercises. Straight and wide streets as well as a large, paved plaza were designed then. The town square at the highest point of the island is the largest square built so far in Scandinavia (20 000 m²).

Naval Port of Karlskrona has been inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. 

MARINE MUSEUM (MARINMUSEUM)

The most interesting part of exhibition is undoubtedly spectacular collection of the impressive wooden sculptures came from bows of sailing ships, located in the unique Figurehead Hall. Other part that is extremely worth to visit is newly opened the Submarine Hall. A lot of attractions for kids and adults. You cannot miss the Marine Museum if you are in Karlskrona.
